This research aims to adapt an original Model of intercultural competence for principals of francophone schools in Quebec and New Brunswick. The method of focus group interviews was used to meet seven school principals in Quebec and 17 in New Brunswick. A content analysis demonstrated that overall the indicators of the components Knowledge, Attitudes, and Abilities of the original model were adapted to the context of Quebec and New Brunswick. However, six new indicators are also included in order to adapt the original Model to these provinces. By this research, we present an adapted Model of intercultural competence for principals of francophone schools in Quebec and New Brunswick which can be used as a self training tool.
