What are my strengths and weaknesses in life essay
Throughout my life, my strengths and weaknesses have become more clearer as I have become older. Although we all describe our strengths as positive attributes, and our weaknesses as negative attributes, they are what makes us who we are as individuals. My strengths are important to consider in my overall personality and the way I relate to people. An important strength in my character is my ability to communicate. I find it easy for me to communicate well with others, as I am an outgoing person and I have the ability to listen as well as respond. For example, my communication helps me in relation to the access course and a health profession environment, by being able to interact effectively with everyone.
My listening self-assessment score of 36 indicates that, although my skill level is decent, I have room to improve significantly. I regularly attend professional meetings where either informational listening or critical listening is required. Despite this, I consider my listening skills subpar and am aware of my need for improvement. In understanding how I can improve, I must first assess my strengths. One of my weaknesses is over committing myself. I enjoy helping people when they are in need; however, I sometimes stretch myself too thin, and I end up letting someone down.
I would consider my strengths, fortunately, outweigh my weaknesses. I find that I am extremely knowledgeable in my field. This is imperative toward training my employees and subordinates. I am also very employee centered and show great care and concern for my employees. I am a solid ethical and moral person and try to convey this to my employees via my actions.
